Access Memory
RAM is the high speed volatile memory on
the motherboard. Because this memory is volatile (it is
destroyed with the computer is turned off) you must save your data to a hard drive.
RAM is used because it is very fast.
Since RAM is now relatively inexpensive, we recommend lots of it.
MONDO CONDO, the DOS version, will run in only
16MB of RAM in Windows 98SE. RAM
requirements increase to 64 megabytes for workstations running Windows 2000 or
XP. More RAM will make the program run
faster (up to about 300 MB). . More RAM makes the program run faster.
RECOMMENDATIONS.
Workstations
should have a minimum of 512 MB of RAM.
Servers should have a minimum of 2 GB of
RAM. These recommendations are not the
minimums required by Windows nor MONDO
CONDO software, but these recommendations are because the cost of RAM is so
low and the performance gains are so great when additional RAM is present.
